cyclone

In meteorology, a cyclone is an area of low atmospheric pressure characterized by inward spiraling winds that rotate counter clockwise in the northern hemisphere and clockwise in the southern hemisphere of the Earth.  The generic term covers a wide variety of meteorological phenomena. These include tropical cyclones, and extratropical cyclones, so meteorologists rarely use “cyclone” without additional qualification.

Structure

There are a number of structural characteristics common to all cyclones. Their center is the area of lowest atmospheric pressure, often known in mature tropical and subtropical cyclones as the eye. Near the center, the pressure gradient force (from the pressure in the center of the cyclone compared to the pressure outside the cyclone) and the Coriolis force must be in an approximate balance, or the cyclone would collapse on itself as a result of the difference in pressure. The wind flow around a large cyclone is counterclockwise in the northern hemisphere and clockwise in the southern hemisphere as a result of the Coriolis effect (An anticyclone, on the other hand, rotates clockwise in the northern hemisphere, and counterclockwise in the southern hemisphere.)

How to Win Friends & Influence People

Building Personal Relationships

Never criticize, condemn or complain: People very rarely criticize themselves, no matter how wrong they may be. Your criticism will not be welcome. “I will speak ill of no man, and speak all the good I know of everybody.” – Ben Franklin Criticism puts others on the defensive, hurts self-esteem and builds resentment. Criticism is futile. Positive Reinforcement works better. Example: Reprimanding soldiers for not wearing their helmets is less effective than asking if the helmets are uncomfortable and reminding them that the hats were designed for their protection.Make the other person feel important.

People yearn to feel important and appreciated.

Continually recognizing someone’s expertise and capabilities will make them feel important. They will want to demonstrate their expertise by possibly helping you.“I am hearty in my approbation and lavish in my praise.” – Charles Schwab.

Give others clear authority over a part of a larger project and help them understand their tangible contributions. They’ll become more committed to the success of the project.

Be sincere and avoid flattery. However, obvious, over-the-top flattery can often win smiles and carry the same favor as if it were sincere.

Dolphins, Cheetahs

Young dolphins can not take care of theirselves. They do everthing her mother dose. Their bodies are half in & half out of the water. The bottomnosedolphins live right above Anarctica almost in the Pacific Ocean. Their moans, groans, squeaks, whistles, & grunts can sound as if they? Are a heavy metal band. But bottlenose dolphins make their own kind of music. Many of the sounds they make could be imitated by holding a balloon tightly by th neck, then letting the air out faster & slower. Bottlenose dolphins send messages to one another in different ways. They squeak & whistle & use body language-leaping as high as 20 ft. (6 meters) in the air, snapping their jaws, slapping their tails on the surface of the water, & even butting heads. So what are they trying to tell each other? They can alert each other to possible dangers, let others know there is foos nearby, & keep track of others in the group. Nasal sacs inside the dolphin? s head are what make it poaaible for dolphins to vocalize. Fastest mammal on land, the cheetah can reach sppeds of 60 or prehaps even 70miles (97 or 113 kilometers) an hour over short distances. It usually chases its prey at only about half that spped, however. The cheetah’s excellent eyesight helps it find prey during the day. Sometimes it perches on high places & watches for prey.

bbc article “Chinese virus infectionz rising”

Chinese press say the autorities tried to cover up the outbreak.
The number of children infected with deadly virus in eastern China has increased by nearly 700 in the past two dayz. The virus, Enterovirus 71, has killed 20 children since it was discovered in Fuyang, a city in Anhui province. State media said the number of cases had now increased to nearly 1,900.
The outbreak began in early March, but was only reported this week – leading to accusations by Chinese press of a cover-up by local authorities.

Fever and ulcers

The number of infected children has steadily increased since hospitals in Fuyang began admitting patients with fever, ulcers in the mouth, or a rash on their hands and feet, according to the Anhui Health Bureau’s website.

An official investigation into the cause of the outbreak has been launched, and a prevention and control team has been set up to contain infected areas in the province, the bureau said.

The illness – known as EV71 – mainly affects children under the age of 10.

The World Health Organization said it was concerned about the number of deaths in the current outbreak, although EV71 has been reported in China before.

The question of reporting infectious diseases is especially sensitive in China, following widespread criticism of the handling of the Sars epidemic in 2003.

Attempts to cover up the scale of that outbreak led to the sacking of China’s health minister and promises of reform.

what i did this weekend

On Friday I went home talked to my parents. On Saturday I babysitted, went walking around the project, went to the park My best freind came up there & asked me what stoney said about her I told her & then we went looking for him & confront him & I broke up with him because he tried to get us to fight & she told him to stay away from her. She told her brother which is one of his homey’s & her brother beat the mess up out of him. I don’t care anyways because after I broke up with him I got with somebody else right in front of his eyes. Sunday I went walking again but this time I was with my new boyfreind all day my parents like him so I don’t have to worry about him.
